Hampidjan’s journey started in the spring of 1934. Thirteen individuals joined together to form an industrial venture to manufacture fishing ropes, nets, and fishing lines for the local fleet in Reykjavik, Iceland. Since then, we’ve grown into an international marine equipment manufacturer, providing fishermen across 35 countries with the equipment they need to increase their yields.
Our branch in Canada has been manufacturing and servicing fishing supplies from several leading companies to all of Atlantic Canada from four major locations – Spaniard’s Bay, Paradise, and Port au Choix, Newfoundland and Labrador, and Dartmouth, Nova Scotia.
Formerly Rope, Net & Twine Ltd., Hampidjan Canada Ltd. has been active in the production and development of bottom trawls for over 40 years. We are the industry leader in shrimp trawling in eastern Canada.
