Entreprises Shippagan Ltd has established itself as one of the major wholesale distributors to the commercial fishing, aquaculture and marine industries in Canada. From our inception in 1977 as a supplier to local fishermen, we continue to grow thanks to the support from clients in fishing communities from the western shore of British Columbia to the eastern shores of Newfoundland and Labrador. We also export to markets in the United States and Europe. Our company’s head office and main warehouses, totaling 90,000 square feet, are located in Shippagan, New Brunswick. We also have three distribution warehouses and sales offices. One is located in Richmond, British Columbia, one in Sydney, Nova Scotia and the other in St. John’s, Newfoundland and Labrador.
In 2000, we formed a new company called Sea-Alex Inc. Its main reason for being is to provide and manufacture products used in the growing and cultivation of oysters, mussels, salmon and other aquatic species.
In 2002, we formed a third company called International Seafood and Bait Ltd. This company was created to meet the demand for high quality bait products in the commercial fishing industry. We have since expanded our product line to become an exporter of food grade fish, crab, lobster and herring roe.
In 2009, we expanded Sea Alex Inc to include the Sea Alex Buoys product line. This was done to provide a premium HDPE plastic buoys line into today's market. Fabricated and stored at our facilities in Shippagan, we strive with only quality in mind. Entreprises Shippagan Ltd is proud of the long-term commitment shown to our distributors.
