Richard (Rick) Williams is President of Praxis Research and Consulting Ltd., and the research director for the Canadian Council of Fish Harvesters. He recently led an ACOA-funded research and consultation project on labour supply and intergenerational succession challenges in the Atlantic Canada fish harvesting industry. From 2009 to 2013, he served as Deputy Minister to the Premier for Policy and Priorities, Province of Nova Scotia.
He is co-editor (with Dr. Fred Wien) of Contested Waters: the Struggle for Rights and Reconciliation in the Atlantic Fishery, Nimbus Press, 2022.
