About me
Julia McCleave is a Manager in the Indigenous Fisheries Policy unit in the Strategy Policy branch of Fisheries and Oceans Canada, a position she has held since 2021. Prior to her current role, she held several positions in the DFO Maritimes Region since beginning her career in the public service in 2013.
Julia holds a Bachelor of Science degree from Saint Mary’s University, a Masters of Parks, Recreation and Tourism Management from Lincoln University (New Zealand), and a PhD in Geography from the University of Waterloo. She lives in Halifax, NS.
