Cheryl Copage Gehue is a proud Mi’kmaw women from Sipekne’katik First Nation in Nova Scotia. On September 11th, Cheryl joined the Clearwater Seafood team as the new Director of Indigenous Relations. Cheryl is the lead on the development of Clearwater’s Reconciliation Action Plan & Strategy. Cheryl is also the former Indigenous Advisor of the Halifax Regional Municipality and the city just finished hosting the 2023 North American Indigenous Games. Cheryl worked for the AFN National Office, Atlantic Policy Congress of First Nation Chiefs and Nova Scotia Native Women Association and has a wealth of experience in engagement & work with Indigenous youth.
